deafPLUS - Lipreading and Communication Skills Training |

| Supported by Somerset County Council, deafPLUS runs 10 communication skills support groups at various locations across the county. The groups provide participants with the opportunity to meet people living in their area, experiencing similar issues and problems as they are ensuring a supportive environment in which to make new friendships, build on lip reading skills and learn something new! |

At each meeting, a qualified lip reading tutor provides the group with some structured support to improve lip reading skills and the remainder of the meeting is taken up by group discussion on a hearing-related topic or a visiting speaker.
There is also, of course, an opportunity to relax and chat in an informal atmosphere as well as plan future topics, speakers or events. For further information, please contact our Communication Skills Support Workers, Annie Bell and Linda Horner via the Bath office.
