Information, Advice and Guidance
The Ealing Information and Advice service provides information, advice and guidance to Deaf people, DeafBlind people, and parents and carers of Deaf people, or DeafBlind people with general help with personal issues Including welfare rights benefit claims such as Disability Living Allowance.
We also provide information on a wide range of topics about deafness in general and on issues affecting individuals in society.
Interpreting Service
If you are a resident of the London borough of Ealing, we provide a BSL, lipspeaking and notetaking service for hospital and Social Service appointments, as well as other arrangements you have with different council departments.

Mary Hicks
Mary is the Centre Manager as well as being a very experienced advocate. She works 4 days a week and provides expert advice on a range of topics relating to deafness and issues of interest to deaf people

Omeima Mudawi
Omeima provides one on one support to deaf people living in the London Borough of Ealing, and works closely alongside Mary.

The services we provide include help with:
- Disability Living Allowance (DLA) and Attendance Allowance (AA)
- Income Support
- Tax credits
- Housing – including Housing Benefit, Council Tax Benefit and applying for housing
- Access to council services
- Advice on access to legal services
- Providing advocacy support at meetings with other agencies
- Signposting to other agencies
- Internet cafe - Internet access and web-based information
- Sign language interpreting and communication support
