What Do People Think About The deafPLUS Adviceline Services?
The deafPLUS Adviceline Evaluation Report provides an overview of the impact, value and learning of the deafPLUS Adviceline and web-based information resources, as identified through an independent evaluation of the service completed between January and March 2022.
Who did the evaluation?
The evaluation was commissioned and overseen by deafPLUS, and funded by the National Lottery. It was undertaken by Richard Malfait and Nick Scott Flynn from R.Malfait Consulting Ltd, independent project consultants and evaluators providing services for voluntary and community sector organisations across the UK.
What is the Adviceline?
The Adviceline is funded by the National Lottery under its UK Portfolio programme, and ends on 31 March 2023. The Adviceline is delivered through a partnership model comprising deafPLUS (the lead agency), who provide the service to clients in England and Wales, and by Deaf Action, who assist clients in Northern Ireland and Scotland.
Who was involved?
The evaluation report summarises the main themes of feedback on the Adviceline and infoHUB as offered by a cross section of 56 stakeholders. These included 31 clients who have used the Adviceline and/or infoHUB, 15 Advisers, managers and Trustees in deafPLUS who helped to develop and deliver the service, and 10 practitioners from external organisations who have referred clients to the Adviceline or engaged with the service. The feedback was obtained in evaluation interviews and online evaluation surveys.
